A few meters from the sea, an old municipal slaughterhouse houses the Foundation Museum dedicated to Pino Pascali, leading artist of Arte Povera. The nineteenth-century structure – already interested by previous expansion – required completion and redevelopment of internal and external spaces, in order to adapt them to the specific requirements of a place for contemporary art. The location of the building suggested a project strongly focused on the relationship with the context, specifically through the creation of a panoramic ramped public access to the new roof garden.
